On February 28, 1973, WXCI began its college radio legacy. Throughout the years there have been many wonderful DJs that brought entertainment to the airways. Thank you to all of our staff and listeners throughout these 4 decades. Happy 42nd WXCI!
Over Presidents’ Day weekend many familiar faces filled the WXCI station. Every year we host an alumni weekend where past DJs travel back to WXCI to play shows throughout the weekend. Many of our current DJs got a chance to mingle and discuss successful radio tactics with previous DJs. Although there was a forecast of snow, there was a great turnout. We are thankful for everyone who made this reunion a success! We look forward to seeing everyone again next year!
We’re back! Happy to let you know that as of Tuesday, Dec 2nd WXCI has reopened. All live shows have resumed.
There’s still some damage in both studios and the main office, but all members of the station are allowed to enter.
Sorry to let you know that as of Monday, Nov 24th WXCI has been closed. All live shows are postponed for now. Thankfully, our automation computer is still up and running.
Portions of the roof of the Student Center collapsed over the station, causing huge leaks in both studios and the main office. Maintenance has been working at WXCI, but members are not allowed to enter until further notice.
We will keep you posted! (Make sure to subscribe on the right to receive updates.)
